When our patients and partners think of The Rehab Physio, our physiotherapists may be the first people to spring to mind, but supporting them in everything they do is a couple of team members who are absolutely vital, not only in ensuring that our day-to-day operations run smoothly but also throughout our patients rehabilitation journey.
Our Office Manager, Kate will have been part of The Rehab Physio family for 10 years next year and is usually the first person that our visitors see when they arrive, but they probably don’t know much about her.
Kate has had a varied career, working in the travel sector and the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) previously. It was while she was working as a receptionist in 2014 at the shared building where The Rehab Physio rented a room that she met founders, Chris and Jen and they offered her a job at their shiny new clinic in Bromborough.
The rest is history and Kate has been providing a warm welcome to our visitors ever since.
A typical day may involve greeting and booking our patients into the clinic for their treatment, liaising with patients, healthcare professionals, case managers and solicitors, ordering clinical equipment and organising specialist therapy services such as hydrotherapy with complementary partners and generally ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the clinic run smoothly.
“Everybody at The Rehab Physio genuinely wants to do their best for every patient who walks through the door. We not only build a relationship with them, but also their families and carers, so hopefully the time that they spend with us feels very different from the clinical environment that they may have experienced before. We’re like one big extended family!”
When she’s not at work…
Kate balances work with being a busy mum, with two boys. Her day has usually started well before she walks through the door at The Rehab Physio! She’s an avid spinning enthusiast and regularly squeezes in a 6.30am class at her local gym before she comes to work.
For a more sedate pastime, Kate enjoys walking and often borrows her brother’s Cockerpoo, Rufus for company. She loves socialising too and enjoys nothing more than spending quality time at home with friends and family.
A word from our Founder, Chris…
“How our patients feel when they visit us is really important. For many, it’s a difficult time in their lives, so it’s vital that we try to make them feel as welcome and secure as possible. We’ve never had to tell Kate how to do this because she’s a natural. Thank you for being so wonderful Kate!”
