The Rehab Physio was founded in 2011 by Chris and Jennifer Wynne. Chris had left a senior position in the NHS, working as a clinical lead in an inpatient private rehabilitation unit. Jen had been working as a physio at The Walton Centre in Liverpool, the only specialist hospital trust in the UK dedicated to neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services.
Both Chris and Jen had experienced the limitations of only being able to treat people in their homes, in terms of access to specialist equipment and technology, so their dream was to open a clinic where patients would have access to both experienced physiotherapists, trained in advanced techniques, but also the latest technology to optimise recovery.
The Rehab Physio was conceived from a hired room in a local business centre which was refurbished as a clinic. In 2021 they moved into a 3,500 sq ft purpose-built physiotherapy facility in Bromborough, Wirral, boasting state-of-the-art technology with world-leading robotics and virtual reality.
The Rehab Physio plans to continue to evolve by developing its intensive robotics and virtual reality service to its full potential, whilst expanding its accessible gym with specialist equipment for disabled users.
It’s a practice founded on passion. Every one of the team at The Rehab Physio is committed to applying their skills and extensive experience in specialist neurological physiotherapy to combat the effects of conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, stroke and more.
